Your logo or theirs

Corporate gift boxes often carry the sender's logo on the lid and a message inside. Some companies add the recipient's name on a printed band.

Both can be set up on one proof so you see exactly how it will look.

Gifts that are kept

A well-made gift box is often reused for keepsakes or stationery, so your logo stays on a desk long after the chocolates are gone.

Rigid boxes are the ones most often kept.

Design Your Chocolate Box

Drop your logo on a real photo of our chocolate gift boxes, move it and size it, and send it. A designer sets it up to scale and sends a free proof.

What is a chocolate gift box?

It is a box designed for giving rather than for the counter. It usually has a lift-off lid or a book-style cover, a fitted tray and a finish that makes the opening feel special: soft touch, foil, a printed inside lid or a message card.

The photos show a dark grey book-style box with a tray of filled chocolates, a crimson box with a printed leaf pattern and a silver lid lifted off an assortment. They are samples that show the styles; your box carries your own design.

Gift boxes are ordered by chocolatiers for their own gift range and by businesses that send chocolates to clients, staff and partners.

Who orders chocolate gift boxes?

Corporate orders often come with a date and a list of addresses. Tell us both on the quote and we plan the run around them.

  • Companies sending thank-you gifts to clients and suppliers
  • Firms rewarding staff after a big project or at year end
  • Estate agents, solicitors and wedding venues welcoming new clients
  • Hotels and restaurants with a retail shelf
  • Chocolatiers building a premium gift range
  • Event organisers making speaker and guest gifts

Which gift box style should you pick?

Book-style and drawer boxes feel the most like a present because the opening takes a moment. A lid and base is the simplest and the easiest to pack in numbers.

Think about who will open it. A busy office manager receiving twenty boxes for a team will appreciate a lid that lifts off easily. A single client receiving one box at home will enjoy a slower reveal, such as a drawer or a cover with a magnetic catch on a rigid box.

Card or rigid board for gifts?

Printed card is lighter, folds flat and suits large corporate runs sent by post. It still takes soft touch and foil, so it can look very smart.

Rigid board is thick board wrapped in printed paper. It feels solid, arrives made up and is the box most likely to be kept. A rigid box is priced above the card starting point, and it needs 8 to 10 working days in production.

Compare both on our page for rigid chocolate boxes in printed paper.

What goes inside a gift box?

A tray or insert keeps every piece in place, and a printed pad on top hides the chocolates until the lid comes off. Many gift boxes also include a small printed card with a message or a flavour guide.

For corporate gifts, the inside of the lid is a good place for a short thank-you from the company. It is the first thing the recipient reads.

For two-layer gifts, a printed card pad between the layers keeps the top tray from pressing on the pieces below and gives you another surface to print a flavour guide on.

How should a corporate gift box be printed?

Keep the lid simple: one logo, well placed, often looks better than a busy design. Foil on the logo on a soft touch lid in a dark colour is the classic corporate look.

Use the inside for the message and the base for ingredients and allergen information, all in food-safe inks. If you send to several clients, a printed belly band with each name can wrap a single box design.

How do you plan a corporate gift order?

If the chocolates come from a separate maker, we can deliver the empty boxes to them directly, anywhere on the UK mainland.

  1. Decide the number of gifts and the date they must arrive.
  2. Choose a style and the piece count.
  3. Send your logo and the message for inside the lid.
  4. Approve the free design proof.
  5. Allow 4 to 6 working days for card or 8 to 10 for rigid, then 2 to 3 for delivery.

Can gift boxes be posted to recipients?

Yes. A snug tray, a pad under the lid and a close-fitting outer carton keep the chocolates in place. Card gift boxes are light, which keeps postage down. In warm weeks, add a cool pack and post early in the week.

For a large send-out, we can supply the boxes and a matching plain outer carton sized to fit, so whoever packs the gifts has everything in one delivery.

Keep a few spare boxes from each run. A gift for a late addition to the client list then needs only chocolates, not a new print run.

What gift box mistakes are common?

Leaving the order too close to the date is the biggest one, especially for rigid boxes. Another is printing a long message on the lid, where it competes with the logo. Put words inside.

A third is choosing a box too large for the chocolates, so the pieces look lost. Size the box to the assortment, not the other way round.

Finally, check the colours of the box against the chocolates. A tray of dark pieces inside a dark box can look gloomy under office lighting; a gold or cream tray lifts it.

How long do gift boxes take?

Card gift boxes take 4 to 6 working days from proof sign-off; rigid gift boxes take 8 to 10. Tracked delivery to the UK mainland is free and takes 2 to 3 working days.

If any boxes arrive misprinted or damaged, let us know within 10 days and we reprint or refund.

How do you order chocolate gift boxes?

Share the number of gifts, the arrival date, the piece count, card or rigid, and the logo. Mention any names or messages too. The panel on this page sends all of that in one go.

You get a price by email within one working day. Minimums are low and quoted per job, which suits a small first run for a new client.

Chocolate Gift Boxes questions

Yes. We can deliver to any UK mainland address, including your maker.

Which finish looks most corporate on a chocolate gift box?

Soft touch in a dark colour with a foil logo is the classic choice.

Can a message be printed inside the gift box lid?

Yes. The inside of the lid is ideal for a thank-you message.

Are rigid chocolate gift boxes more expensive?

Yes, with a snug tray, a pad under the lid and a close-fitting outer carton.

What is a drawer-style chocolate gift box?

A tray that slides out of a printed sleeve, like a drawer.

Can a printed card be included in a gift box?

Yes. A message card or flavour guide can be printed to sit on top of the tray.

Count back from the arrival date: proof first, then production (4 to 6 working days card, 8 to 10 rigid), then 2 to 3 days in transit.

Yes. Deeper boxes can take two trays with a pad between them.

Is the tray in a chocolate gift box food-safe?
