How should you use these sizes?
Use them to picture the box and to check it suits your shelf or bag. Then send us the size of one of your own finished pieces, and we draw your box to fit. If your pieces are larger or smaller than the ones in the table, your box will be too.
- Measure a finished, decorated piece, not the mould
- Use the largest piece if sizes vary
- Include piping, drizzle or toppings in the height
- Note whether the base is round, square or another shape
Why might your box differ from the table?
Insert type, board and lid style all change the outside size a little. Rigid board takes more room at each wall than card, and a PET tray has a lip around it. Our guide to choosing inserts and trays explains each one.

Are these chocolate box sizes fixed?
No. They are typical sizes; every box is drawn to your own chocolates.
Are the sizes in the chart inside or outside sizes?
They are typical outside sizes for the piece sizes shown.
What size box suits sixteen 25 mm chocolates?
About 190 x 190 x 25 mm in a 4 x 4 layout.
Can I have a chocolate box size that is not in the chart?
Yes. Any size can be drawn from your piece count and piece size.
Why is the 12 piece box oblong?
Twelve pieces sit best as 4 x 3, which gives an oblong box.
Do bar boxes follow the same size chart?
No. Bar packaging is sized from the length, width and thickness of the wrapped bar.
How deep are chocolate boxes usually?
Around 25 to 30 mm for most truffles and bon bons, set from your tallest piece.
Will a rigid box be the same size as a card box?
Slightly larger, because rigid board is thicker at each wall.
Can I see the box size before ordering?
Yes. Your quote gives the proposed size and the proof shows it.
What if my chocolates vary in size?
We size every cavity for the largest piece so all of them fit.
